Any pressure?
 

Under normal circumstances, this would be a no pressure season. We'd be classified as a "Rebuilding" team and a lot of latitude would be granted.

I can't help but get the feeling though that we have tons of pressure on us. Not so much to win games but to show that we can support this team through thick and thin. I can't help but feel like the league is watching us closely and if support falls off, the drumbeat will grow ever louder to take our beloved Saints away.

I'd love to see us get off to a good start this year. Our psyche as a city is fragile. I'm not sure how resilient the fanbase as a whole will be if we get off to a rocky start.

Lets beat the snot out of Cleveland and get this party started right.

I think we have ticket sales down, it's funny how they are probably the best ever. That supports my point that the most devestated areas of the city were probably not the place where the highest volume of fans lived.


Where we lack is simple. Entergy is in bankruptcy and many small businesses have left. If we can fill the suites I don't think they will ever leave.

I too fear these things.
All we can do is support to the ability that we have individually and hope for the best.
Herein lies the delimma.
I cannot afford a suite. Most folks who post to this board cannot.
The suites represent the money that Tommy-Boy expects/covets.
That is the real cash cow.
Not season ticket sales.
We, the common folk cannot solve this problem.
If the owner were serious about staying then I think he would fill them.
If only from buisnesses looking to demonstrate goodwill towards the region.
The fact that the suites aren't being sold does frighten me.
I could be wrong.
But................

I don't think we're the only team that can't fill suites. I'd like to see what other teams are dealing with. Let's wait and see what happens next year. I know there is a lot of money slated to go to New Orleans, I have 6 friends who are engineers that moved to the area due to the rebuilding. PSI is an engineering firm that just does the soil levels or whatever and they have their whole company pointed to New Orleans.

I have a hard time believing Arizona will sell their Boxes in that pretty stadium right away.
We do (as far as I can tell) have the only owner that is dying for any excuse that he can latch onto to make a case for leaving his city.

hey we are all syced. the suites are not finished so end of story till next year.
Next year they might get another 50 sold. i expect by then buisness will feel better about moving back. levee repairs and such. there is alot to be done. this is the next big dig.
