this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I love coming here, it's something I do everyday several times a day but when I see a person bash our players and our team makes the visit here sometimes less enjoyable... Great site with good members but we need ...

Great site with good members but we need to get rid of the people who are only here for one reason, to bash.. I won't say who the bad apples are but they know who they are... GO SAINTS!!!!! |

When a so called Saints fan starts bashing their team makes me think their not really a fan at all but a person who dislikes the team very much.

I agree 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the so called "fans", who after a defnsive dominating defensive win. Act like we lost and are the worst team in the league. The "Old School" "I've seen this before " or "I don't want to get my hopes up " fan needs to vacate immedialy. Or at least we should have it to where they can be identified pre-post. I'm a NEW Saints fan. That's not a bad thing. I believe and the rejuvination of this team and the "KICK ASS" direction it is headed. I believe that week in and week out that no one is better then us and that we are a dynasty of future. We are young, talented and hungry and I feel sorry for anyone that gets in our way!!!! But hey, some "fans" like the despair in thinking we will never win. They want the Saints to lose. Consciously or subconsciously. I agree though. They must leave!!!!! Where Woodi?????

Gee, must be nice to be a newbie! I've been a fan probably as long as some are old. I don't need anyone telling me where I can or cannot go. Chill dude, the seasons still young. |

Can you blame people for not being optimistic though? Exactly how many winning seasons have we had? I certainly don't like some of the bashing, but I can understand some of it. Some of it is retarded though which is why it usually ends up in the trash can or smack talk forums.
I don't know about some of you guys but I find it boring sometimes when everyone is agreeing about everything. It gives you something to debate about which is pretty fun... sometimes. |

Wow, new fans are really annoying. On one hand it's good to have them, on the other, there is no way in hell they can understand what it is to have been a Saints fan all your life. The only people "bashing" the team are ones here to start trouble. Just cause some people didn't get moist over a win over the Browns, doesn't mean they aren't a fan. Cautiously optimistic, yes. We have the 3rd toughest schedule in the league, in the toughest or at least second toughest conference in the NFL. We HAVE NOT been tested, and will not be unil week 3 when Atlanta comes knocking. We got a win last week and that's always a good thing, but perspective is not a bad thing, or a knock against the team. When someone says thay are a "new fan" and come in talking about playoffs and such when they didn't give a crap about the Saints 6 months or so ago, their opinion really doesn't hold much weight for me when they start calling out people who have been fans all their lives.

Everyone gets an opinion. There wouldn't be much point in having a board if everyone shared the same one.
I've been to Saints games in a paper bag. And I know some of you won't like that. But I've earned the right, over the decades. When will our ship finally come in? Probably not until after the Saints move to Los Angeles..... That's my worst fear. |
