For the Saints to beat Atlanta, McKenzie needs to step up

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'm sure they see it, and they would be nuts not to exploit the heck out of that corner of the field. McKenzie is in shape, looks the same, but has made some serious error throughout both games. I hope ...

I'm sure they see it, and they would be nuts not to exploit the heck out of that corner of the field. McKenzie is in shape, looks the same, but has made some serious error throughout both games. I hope he gets it together, I still think he's a good cornerback. It's just, I mean, he's missing every tackle, out of place by one step here and there and I can see where Atlanta will pick on that side. Just some initial thoughts.

the defense will need to keep up the intensity in the trenches. the falcons are killing em on the ground.

Agreed. It looks like Vick has settled into the West Coast offense. It's going to be a tough match up. Fortunately the Dome will be rocking so hard it will end up in the 9th ward from all the movement.

Just remember to tilt left in the first and third quarter, and right in the second and fourth when Atlanta has the ball.

To win the game we need to stop their run offense. Dunn is running crazy. Also, I think we need to be more balanced offensively. I love Brees, nut having him throw 40+ times at 1 point and only running 14 is unacceptable. Can't wait for Monday night and another Saints win. Oh yeah, NOTHING wrong with Brees' Shoulder. 41 PASSES!!!! UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!

Well said. Who is this team out there throwing to different recievers all over the field. What team is looking off different recievers and not following one guys down the field the whole way?

That is very key to our success so far.

McKenzie's not the only one who needs to get his head out of his a**. Charles Grant needs to as well. The last 2 games he's looked more like Jonathon Sullivan than Charles Grant......jogging around looking lackadaisical & well.....down right lazy! I know this sounds weird considering the last few years, but we're going to have to depend on our LB's heavily in this game.......both stopping the run & in pass support. Our corners show alot of weakness & our safeties are young. Thank god Vick is more of a runner than a passer. Hopefully.... we put alot of pressure on him, but don't hurt him. If Schaub comes in, he'll torch our secondary. The line, other than Grant, has held their own thus far. Young looks possessed & Will Smith is well.....Will Smith. Let's hope the energy in the stands passes down to our boys on the field. The dome will be rocking like it hasn't in a long, long time!!!!

Gandhi, what you talkin about? Grant had more tackles (5) than Will Smith (3) yesterday. He didn't have any sacks, but he did force that fumble which led to the game-clinching Deuce rumble. I don't care if he doesn't have the sacks, if he's going to be making plays like that, I want him here.

I don't care what stats say. We went through that with Aaron Brooks. Smith looked to be going all out on every play.......Grant did not. Just one man's opinion.
