Troy Aikman calling game today.

What can we expect from him?

RE: Troy Aikman calling game today.

a lot of mcnabb slurping.

I thought he did a good job.
One criticism though.
His repeated use of Heckuva.
As in Heckuva play. Heckuva player. Heckuva call on 3rd down etc.........
Reminded me too much of a former Saints' Head Coach.
When Haz said "He's a Heckuva player" It was usually the kiss of death.

ya i liked both him and dick stockton. stockton does good basketball games with sean elliott the former spur. dick stockton is a good play by play while aikman is getting good, not the best, but i would love him over madden or theismann etc...

He was a idiot. You could clearly see who he was hoping win. I couldn't believe he was actually favoring the referee call on Stoutmire for pass interference. I can see how the refs could make that mistake but damn Aikman get a chance to see replays before he give his idiotic opinion. The whole game the eagle offense can do this or eagle offense can do that.

It reminds me of another idiot from Texas as in "You're doin' a heckuva job, Brownie"

I felt Aikman's bias too.... Just like Madden used to do with the Saints. It is gonna be hard to continue the bias if we keep dropping high calibre teams like this.

BJSim 10-16-2006 07:31 AM

Maddens bias is for whatever player his man crush is on that week. Aikman and most of the rest bias the team they expect to win. Aikman expected the Eagles to win and you could tell there was some shock at the way the game was going early. Like he was impressed the Saints could stop the Eagles and put 17 points on them before the half.

Just another person underestimating the Saints.

I didn't see Aikman's bias. In fact, he being a former Cowboy, I would venture to say that if he was pulling for any of the two teams it would have been the Saints. A couple of weeks ago, when the Saints lost to Carolina, he said "Despite the loss, this (the Saints) is a very good football team."

What you dont realize is Aikman and McNabb had made plans for the Cat's Meow Sunday Night and he though Donnie might be listening...
