Behind Enemy Lines (Falcons)

As a Saints fan in the Atl (native of Hattiesburg) I have been listening to sports talk for the last 2 days in this town....laughing my A$$ off

I thought I would share some of the hilarity with my BnG family.

-First and foremost, one of the afternoon guys is an eagles fan. he's a blowhard, but he makes good points sometimes. he watched the saints game, he watched the falcons tape. he is calling out falcons fans for how nuts our fans are and how the falcons fans may as well have been at church on sunday. You gotta love it. A beaten eagles fan commending the best fans in the league by dissing the worst. AHHHHHH. It feels good.

-There were empty seats for the AZ game after we showed them how to root. There were empy seats for the Giants game. The giants...a team they may very well be competing with for a wildcard berth. AMAZING.

-Mora got snippy with a reporter on Monday. One of the main beat guys who actually does a good job. He asked Mora if he was frustrated with the passing offense
Mora was not amused.

-Some local callers noticed a guy named Wayne Gandy missing blocks and blowing assignments.
A saints fan called up and told them thanks for taking fat grady and wayne gandy. They are our trojan horses.

-One falcons fan called to explain why Vick carries the ball in one hand the way he does. It's for balance because he is SOOOOO fast. The local guy said he didn't care why he just cared that he put it on the ground 4 times on Sunday.

- Falcons season ticket holders are reportedly selling their tix to Steelers fans like hot cakes. I will be there wearing my gold Deuce jersey and rooting against the Dirty Turds.

-There are rumors that the falcons OC and DC got into it Monday. These are just rumors, but they are still funny

These fans think they have already won 8 superbowls. They still can't believe that we beat em.

Anyway....Hope you guys enjoy this. I am in Heaven.

Went to a local bar (in Delaware... Eagles country) for Monday Night Football. On the menu was Eagles Wings, the description was priceless:

After being battered by the Saints, these turkey wings are deep fried and smothered in hot sauce.

Nothing to do with your subject, but your post reminded me of it.

That IS priceless. My feeling is the Falcons are going to end up with a dismal record after their good start .... and since this year is Vick's year to prove he's a QB and not a RB, the next few years are going to be tough for Dirty Birds fans.

But Guys...Vick "just wins"

[/sarcasm off]

GOD how many times I've seen "Vick just wins" posted here and elsewhere. I've argued from the moment he entered the NFL that he's (a) going to get killed and (b) is NOT an NFL QB. He's a running back that throws the ball occasionally, and not very well very often. He'll have his good days and he'll have days like last Sunday.

Vick DOES win, but not "just". He gets beat too, and he's easier to beat than a real QB if a team has the horses to contain him. Seems like more and more do these days.

I see where Nick signed Marcus off the Fins practice squad. Desperate times down in Miami ya'll. LMAO

C'mon Man...

RE: Behind Enemy Lines (Falcons)

Plain and simple if the Falcons defense cant keep the score low or they get more than a touchdown behind in the second half...they dont win most of the time...their passing game just is not good enough or polished enough to get over a late deficit...I dont think Atlanta spends much time on the passing game in practice...If they want Vick to be what he is they have to face the fact that the passing game will suffer if all they concentrate on in prep and practice is the running game...

I'm not saying it is Vick's fault that he cant pass...but its more than just not being able to throw the ball well...

I can't wait to watch troy chase his(vick) butt down this sunday. Then, I will taunt the Falcons fans as they leave the GA Dome. Man...I hope the steelers lay it on hard.

Falcon OL Lehr suspended 4 games for steroid use. Juiced and they still couldn't stop us.
