Nice Duece story for the bye
 

CBS Sportsline did a nice puff peice on Duece and his acceptance of Reggie in the backfeild. Most of it's stuff we know, but a good story none the less.

You know, I don't really get all the "ooohhh, I bet Deuce was really jealous and worried when the drafted Reggie" stuff. He couldn't have known how they were going to use him as a decoy and actually really improve his play and everything; but the way they've been using up Deuce's body over the years, he had to have thought, wow, I might have more playing years left in me if I'm not used and abused on every down.

Deuce is the man in New Orleans right now, Bush's day will come soon...
Having Deuce & Bush is the best thing that has happened to the Saints in a longtime, not to mention Brees.

Best thing that has happened to the Saints EVER ... having Bush fall to use in the draft and Brees signing to New Orleans was the best thing ever for the franchise....

I'll admit, I really didn't want Reggie at first. I want the Saint's to trade for more picks. I was hoping to the get the Jet's two first round picks. I just didn't really see at the time how it was gonna work, and my loyalty was to Duece. People have tried the two back thing many times and it didn't always work. And Duece usually got most of his yards by wearing defenses down. I could never have imagined it would work this good. Without Payton and a RB with Bush's talents, it wouldn't work. But thank god it does. Our offense had gotten painfully predictable last year. I mean if you have to chop down the playbook (to a highschool level) so your quarterback can concetrate, you've got problems.
