The Bush factor
 

I believe that to a man, everyone in the Saints organization is more than pleased with the play of Reggie Bush this season yet there are many people out there that are saying he is a bust. Their main arguement is his yards per carry average. Big deal. Reggie has converted countless third downs for us. He leads the team in catches. He sealed the game against the Bucs. Bush lining up in the slot automatically means two defenders have both of their eyes on Reggie and that means less attention on Horn, Colston, Deuce, Henderson, Conwell, Campbell or whoever is on the field. Reggie Bush is to the Saints what Barry Bonds is to the San Francisco Giants (without the juice). He, singlehandedly puts everyone else on the team in a better position to make plays. I dont see how anyone can possible in their right mind call him a bust. But be it as it may, at least we arent Texans fans.

You're totally right. These people are morons. They only look at stats. They're probably not even aware that Reggie is actually our 2nd string RB.

He's done everything he's been asked to do. No grumbling and he's been a leader on the sidelines. Rewatch the games and you'll see him coming to talk to players that just made a mistake and with a smile on his face as if to say "shake it off".

Payton is smart enough to know that defenses will stop keying on him soon. When that happens, those fake end arounds become actual end arounds. The pump fakes his way change to him being the hot reciever (though leading the team in receptions make that kind of moot).

Anyone calling Reggie a bust hasn't looked at what he's done for this team and the city, they've only looked at stats. Well the biggest stat is 5-1, we're winning and he's a BIG part of that.

What I want to know is when is the fantasy football community is going to wake up and pull a Colston (yahoo has him as WR AND TE) for Reggie and make him a legit RB AND WR!!

I was wondering if anybody with experience in successfully challenging ff leagues to change player positions could give me any advice as to how to contact yahoo ff to lobby for this. Does anybody know anyone on the "inside" that could make this happen? Reggie deserves recognition on his WR contributions.

Who is dumb enough to say that? No rookie back walks onto the football field and runs wild his first year. It takes time to get used to NFL speed. Besides that, his all-purpose yards are very good. Then you have to throw in that he saved us in the Bucs game.

I think he's struggle some what running. At first they would try to run him to the outside allot. I didn't really like that. I'd rather have him run off the tackle and give him some options. Also, I think he was trying to juke too many people rather than use his speed to get the yards he could. I've seen him improve allot though. You can't forget his upside. I can't even imagine how great this kid is gonna be. I think what's gonna give him those long is when he learns to be a little more patient and wait for his blocking to develop. I've notice he's outran his blocking on occasion.

A co-worker of mine says Bush is a bust...
How can a person say that being Bush is only a rookie and has only played in 6 pro games?
I told my co-worker that Bush is already a threat to defenses, defenses are scared out of their minds of him and he hasn't even gotten his feet wet, Bush will only get better and as I have said many times before, Bush will be a special player one day soon in the NFL
Again...BUSH IS ONLY A ROOKIE!!!!!

I've seen some other Rookie running backs do better in the running game, but they can't compare with what he brings to the whole offense. The whole team for that matter.
