What game were you watching? The D didn't have a great performance, to be sure. But we would have been in decent shape had the O not turned the ball over so many times. The D did a decent job in the early going considering we had no tape on what Billick was going to do play-calling wise. The offense did nothing to help the D out until the game was out of reach. The offense cost us this game.

RE: Re: defense.... wtf?????

it was a total team effort suckfest this weekend, not just the offense.... the offense moreso than the defense, but to allow mcnair to sit back there in the pocket and run wild on third down all game, picking up crucial 1st downs when we could have gotten 3 and outs, is very unacceptable.... and why can't we pick off a pass... my grandmother could have picked that one pass in the endzone.... on the brightside, the run defense looked good but again the pass defense got picked apart b/c of the lack of pressure on mcnair...

Now that I agree with. It was a collectively poor effort by the team, but the O started the downward spiral. We had an early turnover and couldn't capitalze because of a turnover. Whatever momentum the D was able to muster(which wasn't much), the O snuffed it out.

RE: Re: RE: Re: defense.... wtf?????

the offense should have capitalized on that fumble early on, but when we gave it right back i knew we were in deep crap for the rest of the day.... we looked like retards trying to hump a doorknob on offense during the first couple of drives, but honestly, the defense should have gotten better pressure on mcnair and not only that, should have had shanle or a nickel back up on the line and drop back and spy on mcnair, shadowing his every movement, kinda like we did with vick.... mcnair has been a dual threat for quite a while now, so how did we not see that coming?

Like I said before, this isn't a reason to push the panic button. Our team just got in a funk early on and the miscues started accumulating. It's something to learn from, but I didn't see anything today that was absolutely shocking. It wasn't like we were going to run the table anyways. We will be ok.

no but the fact that atlanta and carolina (after tonight's game vs. dallas) will be tied with us for 1st place and we have to play both of the again and both on the road is a reason to push the panic.... i'm just saying, that it has the feel of the beginning of a monumental slide to out of the playoffs after a 5-1 start.... we'll see, but if today is indicative of what to expect for the remaining games on the schedule, we should get those cry towels ready....
