LOL

Alright guys, I see the whole website has gone to Total Chaos about a loss. But in Relaity Lets overall break down the Game in all sense it was just a game and theres Gonna be many more.

First Lets talk about Turnovers. All i can say is wow! while we can say some of the turnovers is not brees or bushes fault it still falls down to someone on the team not doing the right thing and therefore is the TEAMS mistake. Although To have 5 Turnovers seems highly uncharacteristic of this team. somepoint we know this team is NOT PERFECT along with any other team in the league. And fall to place bad games tend to happen...

Guys face it we were 3-13 last year stop acting like a loss has never happen in franchise history. We havnt been to the playoffs in a number of years and were finally a prrogressing team. And comes to fact im actually glad a loss like this has happen, So that sean payton and his coaching staff can fix the many problems that we faced on Sunday. Better now then later on in the season when it breaks down to us facing NFC opponets to get in or maybe Tie break for home field or first round bye. Now seeiin it was seen to it being he ravens then maybe the falcons or Giants because of the tie break reasons........

Now in Game:

Reggie Bush- So much talk about the poor play from reggie bush. yes he had Turnovers and poor yardage and tends to make bad decisions on where to run the ball when he gets it. Truth of the matter is HES A ROOKIE, PLEASE SOMEONE NAME ONE ROOKIE IN THIS DRAFT WITH THE PRESSURE OF HIM AND OTHERS PICKED IN THE HIGH END OF THE DRAFT THAT HAS CAME TO BE AN OVERALL BETTER PICK IN THIS DRAFT?........you cant the things reggie has brought to this team and gameplan is more than anyone could have imagined.

And i hear run Duece Run Duece.........How could you we were already down to much at the time. The way Payton uses Bush in the beginning of the game is to stretch out the Defense to allow duece to come in and bruise the middle. If you havent noticed, by putting bush in first, shows the defense that first reggie is gonna be in our gameplan and you better account for him. So when success comes with it focusing on bush leaves mcallister too do what he is known for and that is controlling the game with his runs.

The ravens did exactly what was desgned for them too do and that was attack reggie. Was Reggie ready for this?......... I dunno we had the ball twice in there territory in the first two possesion when the first two tunrovers came. To want to here it or not Reggie was BAIT in the beginning Gameplan and as a rookie running back just cracked under understandable pressure. A Fault on no pointing fingers

Defense- by saying they did a horrible job would be a TOTAL misunderstanding of the game sunday. your looking at a defense that only allowed Scoring off a turnovers when this happens it doesnt matter what Defense is on the Field there going to be tired and worn out. our run defense was Good jamal lewis past 100 yards put look how many times he ran it. OUr secondary was ran the way it was designed NOT TO GET BEAT DEEP. Mcnairs percentage was so good because of what we was throwing short passes getting beat deep is something i recall we didnt do.

THE "real Fans"- As i watched the game on Directv in Deleware i noticed the crowd in the superdome was LOUD and to all the fans the were in attendce i give you two thumbs up because no matter how far we were down you guys were still screaming to the top of your lungs. Good job and keep it up for us who cant be there!

GUYS THIS IS A LOSS WE KNOW THAT BUT WE HAVE A SEASON TO PLAY STOP BASHING EACHOTHER OVER DISAGREMANTS, WE ARE ONLY MAKING THIS WEBSITE LOOK BAD TO OTHER FANS AROUND THE LEAGUE. IN ALL WE ALL WANT THE SAME THANG SOOOOOO LETS ACT LIKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOOOOOO SAINTSSSSSSSSSS [/b]

RE: LOL

A football team can't be nobody when they have 5 turnovers, not even the Colts
I think the turnovers was the biggest factor in losing to the Ravens, we never had a chance with that many turnovers.

RE: LOL

The run defense gave up a lot of yards to the Ravens because when you're up 35-7, you run the ball on every down no matter what to grind the clock. The Defense played ok all things being equal. 14 points go to the offense and the score at the end of the half was a two tip fluke.

There is absolutely no shame in losing to the leader of a top division. The Ravens are a legitimate playoff team that could go deep - but you can't spot a team 21 points and hope to win. The team got exposed for some correctable deficiencies and came out flat. I doubt there will be this kind of performance again this season.

RE: Re: RE: LOL

Even the great Cowboys teams of the 70's and 90's, the Steelers, the 49ers, the Patriots more recently, and the glorified Indy Colts have a stinker or two a season. I love my Saints, but lets be real. We don't compare to any of those dynasties. Not yet. We sucked it up and looked flat coming off the bye. We weren't exactly playing the Raiders last Sunday either.

I'm with xan. There's no shame in an up and coming team like ours getting beaten by the Ravens, and we weren't really out classed as much as we beat ourselves. The reasons we lost are things we can correct.

Onward to Tampa, and a game that in my opinion may prove to be an extremely important one.

C'mon Man...

We were down by 14 points in the first QTR. we panic and didn't think twice to use Deuce, how can you bruise any defense when you're on the sideline sounds like bull to me, but Payton thought it through and we paid it's BUC season now

RE: Re: RE: LOL

Why bang your head against a wall? the defense was a great one against the run. accept it and live easier. that will allow you to move on. we needed to use the passing game to open up the run game. Drew in the shoot gun and go from there. IMO . that would have worked better than the game plan we had. The OL is good but it is not good enough yet to play against a team like the ravens. this will need to be addressed in the off season alone with CB, TE and LB. we have a good core but need to upgrade still.
Love the fact we are so much better now than last year.

If you watched the game the passing game didn't work either. We got spanked by a great team. We were exposed for our weekenss plain and simple.

RE: Re: RE: LOL

i did watch the game. we did get spanked. I did not come away thinking we were a bad team. we were a team that could not buy a break. they showed guts till the end. that was a positive. As did so many of the Pat fans that watched the game with me.
We are still in need of so much as a team and we are set up to address them during the offseason. alot of one contracts were signed and a boat load of picks. the core is good. just need to add to it.
I never put on rose color glass about the team. this day was coming. so maybe that is why I am not so upset as others. I am surprised to see us doing so well with this team. we are better than i hoped for. the furture looks so bright I may need those rose color glass soon after all.
I am already looking forward to FA and the Draft next year. I am not writting off this year at all. But next year we could end up building a team that can compete for years to comes. If next year is anything like this year in the draft and FA we are going to be so slap happy here it will make us all sick.
That is how the Pats did it. I want the same for the saints. Finally we are doing things right looking to the future. Thinking Long Term. This was a growing pain for a team that does not have a year under it's belt.
