Where does Haslett rank?

Hey, what\'s the worst they can do to me? Crack me open like an egg. Hell they might even find a heart in there. However I have 3 ex wives that would probably disagree with that. As a wise man once said \"It\'s kinda like eating lettuce, there ain\'t nothing to it.\"
I hope! LOL

Where does Haslett rank?

I\'m back. There was no room at the Inn and i\'d have had to sleep in a manger, wrapped in swaddling cloths. I go back next week.

Where does Haslett rank?

Jim Haslett isnt even in the top 32 coaches in the NFL, I bet there is more assistants with more coaching ability then he could ever hope to have. Yall give him credit for a season that was saved by a fumble recovery on a punt, let\'s not forget that he was the person who kept AB in the game and went for 2 pt. conversions entirely too often. Let me coach for one season, I\'d do it for free, I\'d show ya I could do just a good job if not better. Maybe not, but at least we dont have Marty Morniwheg or however u spell the goobers name. Holla if ya hear me!

It\'s Just An Opinion, Unless Spoken By Me!!

Thinking back to last season, I can\'t remember Haslett costing us any games with his play calling. But at the same time I can\'t remember his coaching winning us any games either. If you look at what really went on last year, it went something like this. The offense played great early on. The defense wasn\'t really good at any point last year and it fell apart at the end of the season. Unless Haslett put on some pads, I don\'t see much he could have done to help them out. I like his gambling style, it keeps other teams guessing. For those of you that disagree, I can see if I can give Carl Smith a call and we can run on 1st down, run on second down, pass on third down, and punt on 4th down. Jim Hasslett is doing this the right way.

Therein lies the problem... and this is where I think most of the people on this board can NOT distinguish a difference. Just b/c Haslett is a better coach than most of the ones that came before him in New Orleans (he\'s probably the best to this point I\'d say), that DOES NOT mean that he is a good NFL coach. I understand Saints fans getting upset when people criticize a guy who is probably the best coach we\'ve ever had... HOWEVER, that just makes those people who are criticizing \"ungrateful\" if you will, not wrong. Just b/c they aren\'t happy that we finally have a decent coach DOES NOT mean that they are wrong about him not being in the top five. He isn\'t even in the top 20 in my mind... of course, most of our other previous coaches (save for Mora) had no business being near a football field... at least not at the time they were employed by us.

Yeah, I agree he shouldn\'t have gone for the 2-pt. conversion as much as he did. I aslo agree his coaching isn\'t exactly up there with the Jimmy Johnson\'s of the world. Hmm..I wonder if Haz ever logs onto this site????? Maybe he could learn something.
