Where does Haslett rank?

Although I think Jim Haslett is a good coach I don't think he is a great coach and thinks more like a player rather than a coach sometimes. I have several current NFL coaches ranked ahead of him. So, here's the way I have em' ranked.

1. Bill Parcells.
2. Bill Cowher.
3. Mike Shanahan.
4.Jon Gruden.
5.Mike Holgrem.
6. Jeff Fisher.
7. Dan Reeves.
8. Dick Vermeil.
9. Andy Reid.
10. Jim Haslett.

And my #1 coach of all time: MIKE DITKA.........J/K

Where does Haslett rank?

Being a small market team without much sex appeal (media-wise), Haslett may be about the best we can hope for (very arguable though). Not a top 5 type, but at least upper 1/3. I like having a Cowher type guy. I just wish he was a little less laid back on game day.
Show some spit and chew somebodys ass Jim! Classic Cowher!

One of my favorite coaches. Not the best X-O guy, but I promise you his team wouldn\'t quit on him.

Nice list of coaches, but I don\'t think you can list a coach that hasn\'t won a Super Bowl ahead of one who has- that\'s what they are hired to do. You have Cowher, Fischer, Reid and Haslett on that list. They all are good coaches but two of these four have never even coached in a Super Bowl. Where is Belechick or Billick?

BlackandBlue...sure i can list coaches who haven\'t won a superbowl ahead of those that have. Ditka won a superbowl, did he not? Where would you rank him?

On a list of current NFL coaches, which is what this thread is about? Alright, here goes nothing.

I\'d rate him last because he\'s not a current NFL coach. There, you happy? :P

Where does Haslett rank?

I think Gruden needs to be number one right now. He is the current champ of coaches after transfering to a totally different team and getting there in his first season. I know the bucs are low on our list, but come on- Gruden is good. Haslett in the top 10? Not sure about that. But I\'ll give you the benefit of the doubt for purely \"Who Dat\" purposes.

Where does Haslett rank?

1. Parcells (the She comment about Terry Glenn won me over)
2. Andy Reid (they looked even better w/out McNabb)
3. Bellichek (he could even make Cincy a winner)
4. Fisher (does more with less than any of the others)
5. Dick Vermeil (if he was in afc south, 11-5)
6. Bill Cowher (In your face intensisty)
7. Brian Billick (the ego-jerk has earned it, unfortunately)
8. Mike Sherman (year in and year out, winner)
9. Jim Fassell (annoyingly scrappy overachiever)
10. Jim Haslett (has no clue on 2 point try\'s though)

Overrated: Mike Shannahan (done nothing since Elway left, NOTHIN !!!)
Underrated: TIE: ...Tony Dungy (he just keeps building winners)
...............................Herm Edwards (no-nonsense leader)
Up and Coming: John Fox (I\'d love this guy in N.O.)
Sleeper: Jack Del Rio (the next Jeff Fisher)
Worst: Mike Tice (he\'ll get better)
