Allthough I live in the UK, I would imagine the mood leaving the Dome would have been utter bewillderment at what the fans had just witnessed!!!!!!!

After I get over this one I'll start looking toward the Atlanta game, a game I feel we have to win..

RE: Anyone here go to the game today?

It was total dismay. The seats were emptying as soon as Cincy made that pick in the 4th & ran it in for a TD. The common feeling was along the lines of......"Here we go again.....Just when we start to believe, the team gets totally embarrased by a 4-5 team (even though they pretty much gave it away with the turnovers & dropped passes)."

By the way......I thought my old man was going to have to do CPR on me when Colston went down in the 1st quarter. For all the guys on here talking about what Reggie means to this team.......were you watching what happened when Colston went down? They were not the same team after that injury. Oh......and can we please get a case of "stickum" for Terrence Copper & Devery Henderson?

Thanks Gandhi, I figured the seats were going to empty before the game ended the way things were going for the Saints..
Man we have to beat the Falcons, doesn't matter how we beat them just as long as we do..

This is where the true skill of the coaching staff will show. It was easy to game plan when we had pretty much no injuries. Now we are faced with injuries and a losing streak that most of the rest of the league has been dealing with for weeks. The coaches will have to adjust and the only way we make the playoffs is if we adjust. What worked for us 1 month ago won't work now. We have to hope that this team still has "character" now that we're in the midst of a 2 game losing streak.

Certainly it was unfortunate that Colston went down and we definitely use him for our playoff push. However if he's not able to come back for a week or two I think that Henderson and Copper together can make up for his loss. Despite the drops we STILL had opportunities to put 2 more TDs on the board. Today's game was lost because of Brees' unusual poor judgement, including two INTs inside the 5. Also a non-existent D never helps matters.

Anytime you make play calls to pass inside the ten, the coverage is tight. One of those INT's was one hell of a pick. Brees did have a bad game, but like Joe Horn said....."If we as a receiving corp make those catches, it changes alot about this game. Drew was throwing nice passes under alot of pressure & it's not fair to him, when his receivers don't make the catch." Those are Joe's words, so let's not break out the pitchforks & torches for Brees just yet. He did throw for over 500 yds. (a Saints team record by the way). Damn.....that's a positive thing to look at! That's one less Saints record with the name "Aaron Brooks" on it!!!!!!!!!!!! Hell Yeah!!!!!

Well I admit that I'm here in Seattle and obviously not able to see the game in person, but those passes looked like just ill-advised passes. No one is breaking out pitchforks & torches for Brees in the least. But let's put the blame where it belongs. Anything is better than a pick in the endzone, and I don't see how those picks can be attributed to the recievers. Throw the ball away or take the sack. I'm happy that he's here and wouldn't trade him for many other players in the league, but those were his fault.

Well.....seeing it at the game.....one of the red zone INT's was all on Brees. The other was just a hell of a one handed steal of a catch by the CB. The one in the 4th quarter......that one was on Brees too. Other than that, the dude didn't play that badly. He had pressure on him all game. Jammal Brown got beat alot again. Luckily Brees is pocket savvy & got away from Brown's man a few times in the game. All in all, there was alot of poor play by this team on both sides of the ball.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Anyone here go to the game today?

The mood was pretty somber and there was a pretty good exodus at about 6 minutes to go but a lot of people stayed to the ugly bloody end. I would say everyone was shocked. By far worse than the Ravens loss. And when Colston went down in the 1st quarter, you could have heard a feather drop. Really dramatic illustration of what he has come to mean to New Orleans.
