... we don't fair too well.

Prior to their Week 7 bye, the Saints were 5-1 and Brees was averaging an impressive 252 yards per game (that's a 4,000-yard pace, for those of you without calculators). Since then, New Orleans is 1-3 and Brees has thrown for an average of 401 yards per week. Seriously, an average of 401 yards. That's a 6,400-yard pace, which is amusing even over a four-week stretch. He also has nine touchdowns during that span, although they've come along with a pair of three-interception games.

Off rotoworld...

At least make the attempt. I listened to Payton's coaches show on WWL Monday. He admitted screwing up on the first interception. On the second he claimed that with 17 seconds left and no timeouts, that running the ball could have run the clock out. That makes some sense. Brees needed to throw that ball away and get us another down in the red zone.

Bottom line is that running or passing, the offense cannot turn the ball over. Our defense isn't good enough right now that we can expect takeaways from them. So the offenses first mission is to take care of the ball.

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.
