Saints Win/ Loss Record

It just occured to me that of the teams we've beaten this year, not one of them has a winning record. Teams we've beaten have a combined record of 34-50.

The only teams we've played that do have a winning record, we've lost to, namely Cincinatti and Baltimore, other than Pittsburg (5-7) and Carolina (6-6). Does this concern anyone else?

I'm not sure I'd call it a concern, personally. But it is a stat worth noting.

Injuries and momentum are factors which the Saints cannot control. While it is too bad for those teams, the any team can lose to any team unless sound fundamental ball is played. The Saints could have easily lost to the Browns, the Falcons twice, and to the Bucs once if not for fortuitous play.

This is not the BCS. There are not 20 teams out there that are 10-1 out there to compare too. This is the NFL. Get out of the college mind set. I could care less if the teams we beat had a win/loss record of 0-1,000. What difference does it make? The SB game does not depend on strength of schedule or "Style" points. it is all about wins and losses and whos got the most wins. It's not like there are only 5 good teams in this league.

If you were to ask each team we played this year; before the season started; if they would beat the Saints, they would have marked us down as a "W".

Don't rely too much on strength of schedule.

All that is fine and dandy. But some folks may be concerned that beating what amounts to lower echelon teams, that we really haven't been tested and may not be as great as we think we are. Regardless, it is still an interesting stat.

My 2 cents.

Yes its am interesting statistic... goes along the one question that is floating around is..."are we that good". Its something that needs to keep us in reality. This team has a long way to go in order to beat those teams with winning records... at least we beat times we should beat and we are better than 34-50

I'm not saying it is not a good point to think about, but look at how many 2-8 teams have beat so called good team. All I am saying is that any of the teams in the NFL can and do, pull a rabbit of a hat.

What will certainly answer this question as to whether or not we are this good is this week's game. Despite injuries to the top 2 WRs, the Saints are playing better and more together than at any other point this season, especially on offense. Likewise for the Cowgirls; they haven't been riding this high for 13 years.

If we go into Dallas and make it a nail-biter then yes, we are that good. If we go into Dallas and win that nailbiter, we're a little better than it appeared. If we go into Dallas and knock Tony OhNo and the rest of those bums off of their own field than we're undoubtedly the pre-ordained challenger to Chicago, and who could've envisioned that.

If we get kicked around? No...we're not really that good.
