I never said anything about the \"which neighborhood is a better place to live\". I said the kid in the crack neighborhood is arguing that his neighborhood isn\'t that bad. The phrase \"that bad\" is to be taken as meaning the neighborhood is good. I shouldn\'t have used the word \"that\" in the sentence.

Anyway. why are you misinterpreting what I\'ve written and then changing the point around to fit your belief. And a belief that is commonly held to which no one would disagree.

Dude, I seen it all in here. Nice try.

Finally, when people start picking at analogies spliting heirs they usually are looking for an escape hatch from the original point made. Its OK just not to reply when you no longer have anything valid to write.

HERE\'S THE MAIN POINT (WHAT THIS DISCUSSION IS ABOUT)

LSU fans are some of the most aggragvating b/c of liquir and southern pride. I\'m ust calling a spade a spade. If I were a LSU fan I\'d admit it, be proud of it, and tell a guy like me so what.

But so far all you\'ve come up with is analazing my analogy. :casstet:

Again I\'ll ask you why your saying that LSU fans get more drunk than other fans. I can make all kind of statements and have no facts to back them up. Unless you have been all over the country and have something to compare LSU fans to, how can you back that statement up. YOU CAN\'T!!! I\'m not disagreeing that LSU fans get drunk and I\'ll even give you that southern pride thing (whatever that means), but I\'ll bet you if you have some statistics on how many arrests are made each year at college football games, that LSU is about average. Before you tell me that I\'m changing the subject and you never made reference about fans getting arrested, you did say that LSU fans are more drunk. Anytime alcohol is invovled I think the number of arrests is a good indicator to how many fans are drunk and to how drunk they were. This has nothing to do with me being a LSU fan, this has to do with you making a statement that you have no facts to back it up with. The only thing you have is that you have been to an LSU game and saw some drunk fans there. Go to New York and check some of their fans out, or Philly, or anywhere USA. Believe me yankee pride is just as bad as southern pride (just to keep it in rednect terms.) If you we\'re a sports reporter, they wouldn\'t print your biased LSU fan story. They would tell you to do some research and check your facts. They are a few people on this site that I enjoy hearing their side of the story and you are one of them...Don\'t let it go to your head though because your still wrong on this one.

My point is you are pointing the finger at LSU, when it\'s not a specific school problem, it\'s a problem in all facets of sports. I\'m sure there are some LSU fans that are guilty as hell. But this kinda thing happens everywhere. You think that just because you hear it at an LSU game that they are some of the most aggravating, but I don\'t think you can go to any one sporting event and hear the opinions of all 70,000 fans that are out in the stadium. I went to a Cowboys game 4 years ago and had a great time. I\'m not a Cowboys fan, but I enjoy football, and it was a pleasant experience. The next time I went, was the notorious 49er-Cowboys game where Terrell Owens decided to act like a jerk (I think we all remember the incident, but if you don\'t, please post, and I will be more than happy to expand). After the shenanigans occured, I got to sit and listen to this foul mouthed redneck spew obscenity after obscenity, as loud as he possibly could, despite the family of five sitting two rows in front of him. One of the kids, who looked like he was around 8 years old, looked like he was mesmerized by everything that was spewing out of this guys mouth. I felt bad for the father and mother of this family, because in order to enjoy this family event, they had to put up with the baggage that comes with it. My point is that it happens everywhere, nothing I can do about it except continue to act like a mature adult, and teach my kids that is not how a real adult acts in public.

You know, what I\'m interested in is why the LSU fans aren\'t proud that Death Valley is a terrible place to play if you\'re an opposing team. I\'m proud that the Dome has traditionally been a bad place to play, if for no other reason, b/c our fans are drunk and stupid. That\'s great if you ask me!

Who Dat,

Did you not read the example that B&B gave about the kids sitting next to him and having to hear all that foul mouth talk? How could anyone be proud of that. Just curious if you have kids and if you do, do you take them in bars with you?

You assume I haven\'t been around the block to know what other fans are like.

GET PAST THAT.
Because of the manner you are attacking this issue I think even if the Tiger Fan were in fact the worst you still couldn\'t see it because you refuse to.

You\'ll never understand.

In fact, lets turn this arguement around. YOU prove to me LSU fans aren\'t the what I claim they are. Do that successfully and I\'ll concede. I think you\'ll find its alot harder to defend a point than to attack it.
Let\'s quit the assumption game, because this could easily go back and forth for the next week or so. You assume that I assume that you assume that I assume blah blah blah.
Ok Gator, I\'ll play devil\'s advocate- LSU has the worst fans I\'ve ever been around in my entire life. They are the dregs of society, who should have never been allowed to come out of their cages, even on Saturday\'s. I\'m willing to admit that the fans are not angels by any stretch of the imagination, but in the same light, I\'m not going to go and say they are by far the worst fans to be around- they aren\'t. Every team of every league has those select few that do what they can to take as much fun out of it as possible for those around them. I feel for you that you happened to be seated next to them- I really do. I don\'t enjoy it any more than anyone else. I understand the booing, and the jeers, but the vulgarity and obnoxiousness can easily be left at home, in my opinion.
Do I sound irritated? Yes, but by all means, please assume to know exactly why I am irritated. That last part of your argument is \"YOU prove to me\". Prove to you what? That there are other sporting events where the fans are just as nasty as LSU fans? I\'ve already discussed one of my low points at a sporting event. Hell, it wasn\'t even in the same state. I nearly had my ass beat before by some Vol\'s fans- wanna know why? Because when they asked me where I was from, I was honest with them and told them Louisiana- next thing I know, I\'m surrounded by five jarheads who looked as mean as they were big, ready to beat me into my next life- but by all means, this pales in comparison to the atrocities that occur in Death Valley. Had my friends not found me on that fateful day, I would have been nothing more than a big red spot on the underbelly of Neyland Stadium.
But I tell yah what, this will either go over your head or under your ass, as nothing I say here will mean much to you. So what I will do is, next time I find myself in one of these positions, I\'ll politely ask the troublemakers if they wouldn\'t mind holding off until I leave the game, race out to my automobile, grab my voice recorder, and race back into the stadium so that I may document everything toi tape, convert it to an audio file, so that I can have proof that not all the ******* fans reside in Baton Rouge.
On second thought, **** it, it ain\'t worth the time.
