dude if we beat washington this week we should win the divy regardless of what the other teams in our divy do. am i wrong on that. it would make no sense if i was but who the hell knows

That's true. Many folks seem to want some certainty, thinking that getting into the playoffs is a great accomplishment.

My feeling though is that there's no point of being in it, except to win it. The NFC is scattered from top to bottom this year. See Seattle going down yesterday as a perfect example. The Bears are a mess. Dallas is overhyped. The Saints certainly have their flaws, but as shown yesterday good coaching and good game planning can cover up a bunch of those flaws.

So getting the best playoff positioning possible should be the goal. The higher seeded the Saints are, the more likely they will be in position to play the NFC championship game in the Superdome.

I can hardly believe this happened in my lifetime.
