Does anyone else hate Chris Collinsworth?

He was talking during the seattle game and stated he is not convinced that the saints are that good. he said Chicago is the favorite then he would rate the cowboys. Did he not see the game last week? never did like the guy.

RE: Does anyone else hate Chris Collinsworth?

I've never cared for him. Chicago's D is missing Tommie Harris already, and with Goodell's desire to prove he's not going to put up with any crap, Tank Johnson could wind up suspended for a while because he's violating his probation.

I dont care what anyone's opinion is about the Saints. Everyone knows how potent our offense is, but our defense is what is holding us back in everyone's eyes. Come playoff time, strong defenses usually come out on top and that is the only reason people are skeptical of the Saints. It doesnt mean anything to me because i know our defense is better than they get credit for.

Hell yes. Neutralized Frank Gore...something not many other teams have been able to do.

Collinsworth is a guy, who never accomplished anything in the NFL, and is somewhat bitter I think. He was released by the Bengals after a few seasons, and no one picked him up after that I believe. Now, his legacy will revolve around working for every freakin network, that has ever dealt with televised football. Think about it: HBO, NBC, Fox, The NFL Network, Fox Sports. The only company he hasn't worked for is ESPN, which is owned by ABC. He's like the Lieutenant Worf of football broadcasting.

As far as no one giving us credit, who cares? It has been working for us so far, why not let it be? I like being in "stealth" mode. Let them say that the Bears are the best all they want. As long as we keep winning, they can say that Detroit is better than us, and it won't mean a damn thing to me. All that matters, is who wins the last game, and that's a long way off still. Let's just get ready to scalp some redskins!

Ok Collinsworth was a good player.
During his NFL career, Cris Collinsworth surpassed 1,000 yards receiving four times (in 1981, 1983, 1985, and 1986) and was named to the Pro Bowl in 1981, 1982 and 1983. At 6'-5" in height, the extremely lanky Collinsworth often created mismatches against much smaller cornerbacks. In addition to his height advantage, Collinsworth was a legitimate "deep threat" due to his speed.

In Super Bowl XVI, Collinsworth caught four passes for 107 yards, but committed a costly fumble when he was hit by San Francisco defensive back Eric Wright.

In 1985, Collinsworth signed with the Tampa Bay Bandits of the United States Football League, but the contract was voided when he failed the physical due to a bad ankle. He retired after the 1988 season.

That settled.
He is a sales man for the NFL and very good at it. Hype and postive spins for the ratings game. Hats of to him in that respect. He may have jumped around the TV world but he is never unemployed.
Myself it is his cheerful pich in his voice that drives me nut.

He might not be giving us enough credit, but who has until last week. I've never really had any problem with him and he's better than a whole lot of other garbage out there.

I'd say Joe Theismann and Woody Page have been talking up the Saints most of the season. Early enough that I would not call either bandwaggoners.

Ignore the balding bastid.

Woody Paige, Theisman and even Chris Berman have the boosters for our team where others can't help but be 'pragmatic'. But that is one of the many reasons I root for my Bayou Bruisers. I say let all the analysts flinch at a Saints' victory each week. Let Mariotti hesitantly pick the Saints only when it may be obviously safe to.
