Look, who would have thunk it? The Saints NFC South champs, come on. Trust me, our boy in BLACK & GOLD fill bad enough as it is, they don't need us trippin' on them .To a man, no one was happy about winning the Championship, and a Playoff birth, and that's a dam shame, because nobody expected no where near this much success this fast, NOBODY! Now we're acting like we're all pissed off because they lost a meaningless game. Well not me, I'm going to celebrate, rejoice, and enjoy the hell out of this. People, we are in the PLAYOFFS, so stop trippin', we're in the PLAYOFFS, f-ing awesome. GO NFC SOUTH DIVSION CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm as optimistic as the next guy, but we did LOSE a game today. They should treat this week like they lost a game, not like a week where we won the NFC South. I don't think any game is meaningless. Yeah we all know what a success this year has been, but we knew we were going to win this division a couple of weeks ago. We want to keep winning to mantain our momentum.

Regardless of my disappointment today, I'm still very proud of the entire organization for the season they have put together thus far. I would hate to see them come this far and not come into the playoffs putting their best foot forward.

If the saints had to stumble, this was the game to do it. Now, get mad, get bad and win the next two that really count.

I've been a Saints fan almost 40 years (was just a tad too young to root for them in their first two seasons- didn't like football yet). I've also been trained to "look for the silver lining" and accept what I can get. I see a lot of that in Saints' fans, we're happy many years just to make a good showing and play hard. When this season is over, I'll look at it and say to myself "no one thought we'd get that far". Even though I am that way, nothing makes me madder than to watch them play football like they did yesterday.

I don't care if we lose and we play hard. I don't like when we lose due to turnovers, but if we play our hearts out, that's OK too. But when we come out and get DOMINATED IN EVERY PHASE OF THE GAME by a team like the Redskins, our players SHOULD be ashamed. To their credit, they are.

Elite teams in the NFL beat the teams they are supposed to. There are the occasional fluke games wherein the nobody just steamrolls you, and this could be one of those. In my estimation, we've dominated the opposing teams in four games this year (Atlanta both time, TB in Tampa, and Dallas). Also in four games, we've tanked hard (Steelers, Ravens, Bengals, and Redskins). In our other six games, I wasn't sure we'd win until the time ran out in the fourth.

This weekend is a test. The Giants in NY is no cake-walk, but if we play hard - we can beat them. Question is, which Saints will show up? (How many times over the last four decades have we asked that question?)
