My point is that everyone knows what needs to happen to beat a team. It's an entirely different issue to actually do it. Like all of this talk to that Saints provided the blueprint to stop Romo. Oh really, then why couldn't the Falcons do it? Or that Tennessee provided the blueprint for beating the Colts. Then why couldn't Cincy, a MUCH better team, do it? It's not as simple as that.

It's a matter of having the personnel and the coaching savvy. That's why teams often "have another team's number". Maybe Washington knows how to beat us but that doesn't mean a San Diego would do the same, regardless of the records.

The NFC thought they had the blueprint to beat the Colts, hell, just run the ball on them, didn't work for the Bengals last night.
With Sean Payton you never know which plan he'll use for any given game...
Payton surprises me every week the way he mixes it up.

I'm going to say this, if we go into New York, and win this weekend, my doubts will be gone for the rest of this season. Going into Dallas and winning was hard, and the Giants are going to be just as hard. True test of character, and over all team unity. Let's see what happens.

When you lose games, you make adjustments. So "blue prints" are useless after that. Unless you are the Oakland Raiders, and your new head coach DOESN'T change anything, when he play's against the former head coach. Heh heh heh

Come on now guys, we can talk about "blue prints" and stuff all we want. The fact of the matter is, the Saints came out flat. Sure the Redskins might have played well, but the game was ours to win and we just didn't rise to the challenge. Every team goes through one of these games. The important thing is picking that intensity back up the next week.

It helped the Redskins that Shawn Springs and Sean Taylor uncharacteristically both showed up to play. That's a "blueprint" to beat anyone.

Even though I do think we beat ourselves, I think this is very true. Those two guys are supposed to be premiere players in this league. If they're both playing at 100%, it's just hard not to let them affect the game. It also doesn't hurt that their 1st round draft pick Carlos Rogers was playing lights out too.

And anyone who saw the game will also know that if the ball intended for Copper in the end zone on 4th and 8 is not tipped away, then the Saints most likely take a 1 point lead and win the game. So despite all the blueprints, the Saints themselves let the opportunity get away.

I can take some degree of comfort in that. Some.
