*Hollis Thomas*

I was wondering since his 4 game suspension is up will he be able to go get some conditioning training. I am worried with a guy his size that he will not be in the proper condition to play in the 1st playoff game even though we have a bye.

I notice Antwan Lake playing like a beast out there against Carolina Panthers but that was against a reform OL the panthers. I wonder what he can keep that same kinda tempo in the playoffs, Oh Yeah Willie Whitehead did a good job too, but that Rodney Lesile needs to be cut.

I'm sure the guy hasn't been sitting at home eating potato chips. He's just been suspended from the games, not from practicing or anything like that. I can think of no reason why he won't be ready to go for our playoff game.

The only thing good that I thought about coming from this suspension was that he'd be rested when we go to the first playoff game. He wont have played for 6 weeks. If he stayed in condition, he ought to be a dominant force for the next three games.

ya i agree.. i think the off time is a good thing for hollis.. i think hes going to come in heathy and fired up... im excited to see him play..

Brann 01-01-2007 06:17 PM

I think he'll be fired up because he wants a ring and wants to prove people wrong about him. Think of how well the D has been playing without him the past 4 games and imagine how much better it'll be with him back.

I'm looking forward to getting Hollis back. We need him. I am however impressed with the job Lake did Sunday. He played like a man on a mission. But the again, so did almost all of our defensive backups. Deloach is the only on that worries me. He can't cover my big azz.

if hollis is really innocent hes gonna be pissed and that much more motivated

If anything he might have just gotten some good rest.

<Thomas said he's also ready to impart the wisdom he gained during the Eagles' Super Bowl run to his postseason-inexperienced teammates.

"The stakes are higher in the playoffs," he said. "The game speeds up a little bit. It'll be interesting to see guys playing in the playoffs for the first times in their career. Some guys have been there before, but everybody who's not been to the playoffs is itching and anticipating the moment when they can go out there on the big stage.>

When you're suspended for substance abuse you're not allowed to practice. You're not allowed to work out with the team. You're not allowed at the facility or around your teammates.

Basically, Thomas has had to be working out at a gym somewhere. What condition he's going to be in IS a concern.

<"He's ready," Saints Coach Sean Payton said. "We've got his weight where we want it. He's been working out. He's done a good job with all of that. This bye week will give him an additional week to be here and work out, and then we'll be ready to go. He's a starter." >

I sorta think Deloatch is a good player, any CB would be carfeul in that situation by the goaline vs Steve Smith

I liked Lake the whole timed he's played this season. He seems just as strong as Tank, he pushes through like he's angry he isn't a starter. I think Tank will come back and go beast mode on any team we play, especially the Iggles

Hollis will be fine....5 weeks will cure any ailment..

and I'm sure Payton had him with some personal trainer or therapist during his suspension..(on the hush)

Damn I can't wait to see Hollis on the field again....
