i think if bouman impresses and brooks can't get it together we may be looking at a different starter next yr with a leadership ability we so desperately need.....smitty

Next year as in 2004? Or still 2003?
If it means 2004 I don\'t hope for it as it means a season going down the drain with the benefit of having the QB replaced. Is that worth losing a year?
I have similar feelings about our defense. I would really like to see Venturi fired, but that will only happen if the D stinks it up again this year. So do I hope for the defense to be around 10th-15th in the league (meaning Venturi will stay and we won\'t have a shot at winning at all) or do I hope they are 28th and Venturi gets fired? Somehow I\'m not sarcastic enough (yet) to yell: \"Run, Michael Vick, run!\" when we play the Falcons. Okay, a little off-topic here.
And no, I don\'t see Bouman becoming the starter(2003 or 2004) unless something dramatic happens.
