How do you really feel about your team?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Someone asked me the other day... If the Saints had to play the Eagles again...(this guy though considered Philly the best team in the NFC right now) you think they could win? Without missing a beat I said, "The Saints ...

How do you really feel about your team?

Someone asked me the other day...
If the Saints had to play the Eagles again...(this guy though considered Philly the best team in the NFC right now) you think they could win?

Without missing a beat I said,
"The Saints would probably score 42 points"

I have curbed my enthusiasm since then, because I am superstitious, but how do you feel about this team?

I really believe they are that good.

I have never felt this way about the Saints

I think Payton would be confident playing the Eagles. He coached against them for years with Dallas and New York and he knows how to beat their defense. He has the weapons to create mismatches against any defense. Philly is hot and i give them credit for playing well down the stretch and winning the division, but the division was handed to them by Dallas for wilting down the stretch. They are a contender, but i think the Saints match up well against them. Westbrook will be tough to contain but i think Payton and Gibbs both know how to beat the Eagles.

It's all in the reflexes.

Even though Philly IS hot, Bobaganoosh is right... our coaches are more familiar with them. We know the Giants pretty well, and we know Dallas well too. Seattle is a team that could cause some more mismatches and unfamaliarity in my opinion. We've played them a few times in the reg season in last 5 yrs (usually season openers when they would slaughter us), but we were a different team with a different coach.... just some thoughts

I feel the same way about this team as I always have, only now I don't cuss (in anger) while I am watching the game. Yes, I believe the could put 42 on the board against Philly. Absolutely!

It's my opinion that the Saints are not going to be scoring points for the remainder of the season like they have had the luxury of doing against some opponents. The playoffs are a different animal. But I do not see them losing just because of that. Emotion will be key for the Saints' domination in the playoffs.

I see the Saints playing heavy secondary coverage should they face the Eagles. Garcia will take off where necessary but he is not the running threat McNabb was. And I think the Saints' defensive front is capable of containment.
Then it's a simple matter of Brees' offensive charges keeping their patience and not trying anything too silly.

Fleured. I respect ur opinion in saying the Saints won't score as many pts. during the playoffs as they did during the regular season, but i have to disagree.
The Saints played 3 of the 5 playoff teams and beat the hell out of two of them. They put up 41 against the Cowgirls and 30+ against the New York Midgits. They barely beat the Philadelphia Pigeons, 21-18, but, still put up 21 pts. I've got the feeling the Bears are the only team that can slow us down, and they MIGHT hold us to 21. Remember the Ravens. We managed to get 20+ on them. We have the #1 offense in the league. Just my opinion though. WHO DATTTTTTTT

WHO DAT!! WE DAT BABY!!!
