Old Saints vs. New Saints

First of all: WHO DAT!!!!! GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!

OK, good that's out of my system. Guys we've been talking about this all season. When Reggie fumbled that ball with three minutes left in the game, any other Saints team would have crumbled and let the Eagles score. Our defense would have choked that game away. But that was a sign of how tough and determined this team is to win. It's a great sign for the future of this franchise to see such a mentally-strong team. The Bears/Seahawks better watch their arses because we're coming for 'em!

that was the play and the following Eagles drive is where my stomach (by habit) turned to lead. I had this foreseeable doom that Garcia would methodically march Philly right down the field for a convenient Westbrook TD and me staring at the TV stonefaced for the next two hours.
The defense absolutely stoned the Philly drive and I was awed.

My question is why call that play any way?, I mean a pitch out is the last play I'd call with only about 3 minutes left in the game and you're driving for a TD, I thought after the fumble that the Eagles had a chance to tie the game or even win it like Fleured said.
My heart stopped when I saw the ball hit the turf, but our defense made things all better.
What a game!!!

i agree 100% LTF, thats a terrible play to call at that point in the game. correct me if im wrong, but didnt we do something very close to that against washington near the end of the game. i think it cost us alot of yards then too. that was the absolute worst time in the game to make that call.
