Ditto for Gardner.

I think there is a slight possibility that both may make the team. Both were mid rounders that slipped. Most mid-rounders need a year or two to develop into quality starters.

Horn and Lewis are aging. They may groom both these kids for 2004 or 2005 season.

I\'m unclear on practice squad rules, but I believe other teams can claim them if we place them on that squad. It may be to our advantage to try to keep these two, unless one of them makes it clear in training camp that he can\'t cut it.

But too much talent at one position is a problem most of us are unfamiliar with. What do we do now?

I too beleive the saints have a couple gems in the late rounds and also concerned we will be put into a position to lose one or two to another team. Any player on the practice squad can be picked up by another team BUT that player has to go on the active roster. I am thinking there must be some other stipulations on this because I don\'t recall to many players being pulled off other teams practice squads. Maybe salary cap problems from cutting a roster player and adding a roster player prohibit this?

Saints are deep at WR and I would expect any WR they put on the practice squad would be a good risk for another team to take.

I agree that we are deep with WR. However, knowing Horn\'s age(yes I love Horn), I just hope we can keep these guys if they blossom and have the opportunity to keep them as the future. Stallworth, should br prime about then also.

Cap status is $8 million with just Kelly and Williams signed. Should have plenty of room for signing a free agent RB.

Has Lamar Smith been picked up? He would be a great backup for Duece, and you could probably get him cheap.
