Maybe I missed it, but I thought the "Boys" were looking at Wade PHILLIPS of the Chargers because of his knowledge of the 3-4 defense.

The Dolphins coaching staff may have lost and found a quarterbacks coach on the same day. The Dallas Cowboys hired quarterbacks coach Jason Garrett to their staff in a still-to-be-determined role, while a source said that Saints first-year quarterbacks coach Pete Carmichael Jr. is the leading candidate to replace him. Before joining the Saints where he helped quarterback Drew Brees earn Pro Bowl status while directing the NFL's top-ranked passing attack, Carmichael was the San Diego Chargers assistant receivers coach under recently hired Dolphins coach Cam Cameron from 2002-05.

I don't see this as a promotion for Carmichael, plus given the choice...who would you want to coach up...Brees or Culpepper? HMMMMMMMMMMMNN

Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over, over, and over again...and expecting a different outcome!

LSU's Miles in mix to replace Parcells?

Friday, January 26, 2007
By Mike Triplett

The Dallas Cowboys received permission to talk with Saints defensive coordinator Gary Gibbs about their head coaching vacancy. LSU Coach Les Miles' name also has been bandied as a replacement for Bill Parcells, who retired Monday.

Gibbs is considered a long shot for the job, but he has close ties to the Cowboys. He served as the team's linebackers coach for four years before joining Sean Payton's staff in 2006.

That should answer the questions about interest in our assistants.
