RE: Falling in love........

I still don't like Bowe in the 1st over all these defensive needs at hand. But do you love Samuel, I don't....UNTIL HE GETS ON THE SAINTS ROSTER! That'd be just great.

Honestly I like Buster Davis outta LSU better than Bowe, Bowe is awesome, but drops alot of passes and has an eye problem. Buster makes plays with ease, about what and what with Bowe in size, faster and has great hands

RE: Falling in love........

Bowe in the first, are you crazy? We have an emerging superstar in Colston, and humongous holes on this defense. Yes, I'm a huge LSU fan, and I'd love to see Bowe in black and gold, but there's no way we can justify neglecting our defense again. We have the #1 offense in the league, but it was our defense that lost us the season. It's our defense that needs addressing. I understand that our WR depth isn't great, but in terms of greatest need, I don't see how anybody can say we need a wide receiver better than a linebacker, defensive tackle, or cornerback.

Pay attention to what he said. He's talking about drafting Bowe if the needs on defense are addressed through FA signings. I agree that we shouldn't draft him if that doesn't happen, though.

RE: Falling in love........

I think the main thing that we lack on defense is depth. At every position. I mean, can anyone name a position on defense where we have good depth? Even if we get good players in FA, we are still going to need to draft defense first. Look what happened to the Giants, when all of their star defensive players started going down. They dropped about 7 games in a row. I say, we go after a receiver in FA, and leave the draft to defense. IMO.

I do not care what area we address on the team with #27. I am open to offensive line here IF it is there. We struggled against the bigger or faster defenses this year. I am open to defense also.
It is silly to love just one sitting at 27. The best player available and keep our fingers crossed that the player fits a position of need. The other option is to trade down to the top of the second and get additional picks to go with it is also an option. Even more ammo to move around the draft as we want to get players we really need and want.
We have to hope Shawn pulls of another draft year like last year.

I don't think we should take a reciever in the first round... I say we give samuel or clements whatever they want in FA, then draft patrick willis at #27, and it won't be hard to find another reciever especially if a solid #3 reciever is what we need with colson and henderson 1 and 2.

I have a feeling Willis won't be around at #27. Remember how much AJ Hawk's stock kept rising last year? NFL teams really could use some more good linebackers. If Willis or Rufus Alexander make it to #27 then consider us fortunate.
