Why does everyone keep saying we're "loaded up with draft picks" and can trade some. Looks like we have 7 and don't get two picks in any round other than the 4th?

well your right. remember last year we had 6 picks and none in third. people seem to get over excited having 2, no one extra pick. i do not see us moving up unless we get Grant involved. otherwise we cripple the draft this year and maybe next. So if we slide back, say in round one and get another day one pick i do not see us doing much except moving back in the rest of the draft. We package the 2 fourths and move up in round 4.

I need to study up on my football lingo.

Fortunately, I'm headed down to New Orleans today for some R&R and will see a lot of my fellow Saints fans who can fill me in on what's been going on. The paper here covers the Saints but not much of what goes on behind the scenes. I still hope we go defense for most of the draft.
