METAIRIE — Jason David doesn’t turn 25 until next month, but he already figured it was time for a new challenge in his fledgling NFL career.

“It would have been fun to stay in Indianapolis. It would have made things a lot easier for me and for my family,” David said last week after a workout during the Saints off-season program. “But at the same time, winning the Super Bowl there last year kind of made it a little easier to say goodbye and move on to the next stage in my life.”

“They definitely have a great opportunity to go far in the playoffs, but what’s going to be tough for the Saints is that anything less than the Super Bowl is going to be a bad season,” David said. “I think that’s the attitude that everybody has around here and the attitude that I’m going to bring here.

Good article. It doesn't hurt to have a a guy with a sparkling new superbowl ring possibly starting on the defense for the Saints.
