Look for the inside pressure into be much better this year. Teams may want to use no huddle more against us so they do not have to face the rotation. LOL I love saying that.
He must have wanted out of the desert very bad. The Cardinals asked him to take a pay cut, he refused, was cut and within two days signed for a lower amount (pay cut) with the Saints! HMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

He probably wouldn't have seen as much playing time over there with Dockett, Branch, and Watson. I bet that was the reason why he refused to take a pay cut... so they could release him and sign elsewhere.

I agree with the assessment, however, he might not get much more playing time with the Saints. Rotation and depth is what Loomis commented as the rationale for the signing. Don't get me wrong, a good signing and it does add depth...the rationale does not add up right now.

I think also he's got a better chance at making the play offs in New Orleans than in AZ... that was strange to say...

I found a little more information that adds some clarity to my comments...

CLANCY SIGNS FOR THREE YEARS, $5.2 MILLION

A league source tells us that the contract between the Saints and defensive tackle Kendrick Clancy is for three years, and is worth $5.2 million.

Clancy will receive $1.5 million in the first year of the deal, via salary and bonus money. The payout matches the salary he would have earned in 2007 with the Cardinals. In 2008, he's due to receive a base salary of $1.6 million and a workout bonus of $250,000. The base salary in year three is $1.8 million, with a $150,000 workout bonus.

Under the deal with the Cardinals, he would have earned $4.6 million over the next three seasons.

The Saints were Clancy's first stop on a four-team tour. He liked what he saw and opted to sign on the dotted line.

Good because I had no clue what you were implying up there. So basically he left for a greener pasture and a better chance to win. Smart man.

Can any of you actually say that you would live to see the day when players would want to truely come to the Saints.

These are good days we are livin' in bro's!

I knew that they would try to fill the position, if they felt that they need to. I think they know what areas of the team need to be upgraded.
