From ESPN.com:
New Orleans Saints: Perhaps stealing a page from the book of their most heated rival, the Saints will have Hall of Fame member Joe Montana visit training camp, to meet and work with starting quarterback Aaron Brooks.

The Atlanta Falcons last summer invited Steve Young to camp to meet Michael Vick. While the brief session was more a highly-publicized photo opportunity than anything else, it provided Vick the opportunity to strike a rapport with Young, and the two spoke by phone several times during the season.

Dates and details of Montana's visit with the Saints have not yet been finalized.

And your point????
Could the Bucks not use any improvement or is one ring enough?? The shine will eventually fade from that ring. Enjoy it as you should but never rest on what was last year.

Touchy, touchy....

Just reporting the news. I personally think it\'s a great move, based on this possibility alone:

it provided Vick the opportunity to strike a rapport with Young, and the two spoke by phone several times during the season.

But the question remains is can BROOKS humble himself enough to learn from this situation, or will him blame Montana for never being home when he called?

Wow. Couldn\'t have put it any better myself.

Why wouldn\'t Brooks be \"humble\" enough to learn from a legend like Montana? He is a confident guy but is also open to learning. These comments never cease to amaze me!

BucNup,

Now Now.............

Do you really think anyone is concerned about our offense scoring points this year? Brooks did lead the NFC in TD\'s last year!!!

Now if you would like to match-up offensive players---position by position. I\'m game!!

I know that you know, that coaches do not play the game and that talent ultimately wins out. The fact is that most of your offensive players could not start for most NFL teams. If you think that the Bucs were head over heals better than the other teams they faced and it will be the same this year--You like the kid that thinks their Daddy can beat up everone else\'s Daddy!!

I don\'t think that either team set up mentor\'s for their talented young QB\'s to impact an increase in points scored, but more importantly to assist in the mental maturation of these players. I think todays star is of a totally different mentality than 10 years ago, and that ego plays a much larger part, like it or not.
Brooks and Vick aren\'t going to learn how to score points from Young or Montana, but they may learn that often there are small facets of the game that have huge implications. That a smart player can be as effective as a standout athlete and that the combination can be the deadliest of weapons.
Smart move by both clubs and as much as I hate the 49ers, they couldn\'t have picked two better characters to use as role models.

Looks like the Vick/Brooks family has the market cornered on this X-49\'er tutor thing.

LummOx,

I think it\'s pretty obivious that the reason they are bringing in guys like Montana and Young is to cut down on mistakes. Mainly the mental mistakes. Your right, it\'s not to show them how to put 40pts on the board. I don\'t think anyone can teach that.

I\'m happy to hear that. I think it can only help.

Montana was a great leader above all else. Do you remember the consitent gags he used to pull at training camp? Hanging the coaches\' bicycles in trees, etc? If nothing else, Brooks could pick up on some of that charisma.
