Dexter Jackson becomes Larry Brown part II. Signs big deal in Arizona and is huge bust.

Good move letting him walk. The MVP was worth morth than he is.

I don\'t have any ill feelings towards Dexter. I was shocked at the news originally, but it\'s all a business. I think he will aid in the Cards secondary, based on the work ethic he has left behind. It\'s up to him now; to lead and inspire completely, at times when it was not asked of him from the Bucs.

All and all, he\'s got the big bucks and it\'s up to him to make the deal a worthy one. The company he is in doesn\'t make it look too good for him as far as players having big Super Bowl games and then leaving their respective teams the following year. Neil O\'Donell really folded; I bet the Jets don\'t even know what happened to this date..... :D

Which makes me ask this question:

How do you feel about Sammy Knight leaving the Saints? I thought he was one of the leaders in the secondary for the Saints? Who\'s stepping up now in his departure?

Mel Mitchell is taking over the SS position. Supposedly he hits just as hard, but has faster wheels. My main concern with Mitchell is his instincts on run plays, because I haven\'t heard enough info relating to it. However, Knight will be missed.

Mixed feelings. I was a big fan of his for a long time - he was just so damn good at forcing turnovers. I was surprised they allowed him to walk.

But at the same time, reading up after the fact, I have to wonder if his lack of speed was one of the reasons the D got burned with big plays so often. I\'m just not sure. Coaches seem to think so.

I\'ll miss hearing \"Interception Sammy Knight\" on the PA system.

I agre with lumm0x l. I expect Dex to not do as well. He did his job well here and we appreciate his effort but we have able bodies waiting to take his spot.

I really liked Sammy and will miss his hard hitting plays. However, his lack of speed caused him to get beat a lot. I hold no grudge against Sammy. He was always a team player and I don\'t recall him ever talking smack about anyone. I wish him the best of luck and look forward to seeing him in the Dome in Pre-season.

If every Saint had the heart and drive that Sammy Knight has we\'d be defending our SB title for about the 3rd or 4th time. The 5 second 40 was just too exploitable for our team.
I wish him well, he may be good on a team where the other 3 DB\'s are fast.

I hear this Mitchell kid was voted the hardest hitter on the team and has gotten bigger, stronger and faster in the offseason. He may be a quite pleasant surprise. I hope he picked Sammy\'s brain enough to avoid major growing pains.

When we drafted him all the experts said he was a flat out stud, but needed a year or two to develop his skills.

He was voted \"Hardest Hitter\" on the team after Knight left, if that gives any indication as to what type of headhunting we\'ll be seeing in the future.

I heard about the vote before Knight left. Either way he should be an intimidator, along with 225lb-4.4 second TebuckyJones. OUCH!!!!!!!!

BAD, BAD news for Peerless \"I don\'t have Moulds to hide me now\" Price, Muhshin \"Alligator-Arms / my leg hurts\" Muhammed, and that \"tall slow-asss skinny overpaid underachieving ball-droppin whiney-asss glory-seeking\" Keychain Johnson of the TampaX squad.

Does the name Ronnie Lott ring your bell?

I think I remember the one you are talking about now. It stated that he was second only to Knight in the impact of his hits. Regardless, the guy can hit, I just like to give Sammy credit where it is deserved.
May not bother Keyshawn as much, due to who is lined up on the opposite side of the field- Keenan. If you\'ve never seen him block, it is a treat to watch. Two years ago Jacksonville had a game on Monday night football, where Jimmy caught a screen pass and started up field. Not one, not two, but three defensive backs were knocked out of the play by one hit from McCardell- it was like a domino effect and was one of the most impressive things I have ever seen in pro football.
