Drew's Building His Own N.o. Legacy

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; "Drew and Brittany have been a great addition to New Orleans, besides the turnaround the Saints had," says franchise icon Archie Manning, the Saints' quarterback himself from 1971 to 1982 and, arguably, the most popular player in team history. Cool Drew's Building His Own N.o. Legacy

"Drew and Brittany have been a great addition to New Orleans, besides the turnaround the Saints had," says franchise icon Archie Manning, the Saints' quarterback himself from 1971 to 1982 and, arguably, the most popular player in team history. "So many of us are involved after Katrina, and so many of the Saints, especially Drew, do great things."

"The comparisons of the two QBs should end, Archie is and will always be the Saints icon. But with the responsibilities Drew has took on both on and off the field, embracing New Orleans as his home and up lifting not only N.O. but the whole Gulf Region. If he were to win a Superbowl, the standard of QBs in New Orleans will forever be compared to Drew Brees period. Archie Manning is the ICON, but Drew Brees would become the LEGEND."

They could both become legends/icon's there is no need to have one better than the other. Manning for the most part has built his legend/iconic memories, he's retired. Brees won't be decided until many many more years and he has sinced retired.

We have got to quit talking about the two of them.

If Drew stays a Saint. Even if he wins a SB or not, he will be loved just as much as Archie; just in a different way. No better or worse. No one on this board or even a B&G fan would say that Drew is not loved.

Can anyone say they don't love Bobby Herbert?

Thanks for the clarification. I never wanted to compare the two, I just wanted to know if DREW would be loved as much as ARCHIE! or would garner the same type ofrespect which I think he deservedly does.
