I remeber a while back they had a thread on the 2007 starters but now that we are about two weeks away from training camp I want to know who do yall think will be our starters going into the season

Anyone notice that we are returning 21 of 22 starters from a team that went to the NFCCG?

And we added 5 or 6 players that will seriously push for the 2006 starters jobs?

I pretty much agree with everybody. Just a couple exceptions 1) I think Copper will be the number 2, unless Devery figures out how to be more consistent.2) I think Alleman will beat out Nesbit.

I think Martin will start at QB! Who's this Brees kid??

yeah now that i think about it I would have Shanle starting
He played prettty goood for us last year, and he would be hard to replace, exspecially with Dhani Jones

The only question on O is the #2 receiver. I think that's going to be Henderson. Reading the press on him this O/S has me thinking he's ready for the jump. The #3 rec will be by committee; Patten, Copper and a whole lot of Bush.

Same as above expect I have Josh Bullocks starting in place of Harper. Harper will eventually push KK out of the starters role but all 3 will rotate during the season.

I am going to go out on a limb and say Simmons won't start come day one. I see him not healthy for the start of the season. I have no clue where they are going to try Dhani Jones at, but I'd like to see him compete for that MLB job. I see Shanle starting at WLB even if Jones plays there.

I can see Clancy starting over Thomas if he has weight or asthma (sp?) issues. I know one thing. There will be a lot of position and roster battles to come. I can't wait. All it's going to do is make us better and that's scary in itself.

I agree on Offense..

...on defense, specifically the MLB, that position is for the LB who can show he can stop the run. I don't think Coach Payton brings in guys "to be backups".

In any case, it sure is fun to be guessing who'd going to do what, and be able to choose from nothing but quality guys...
