I am Hap Glaudi's Biggest Fan!
 

How many of you kids remember the great Hap Glaudi?

Back during the days when Hap Glaudi still did "Hap's Point After" post game show, I called Hap up and got through after the Saints lost a pre-season game. I was a kid at the time, and I was being mischievious with a group of friends. I pretended to be quite drunk as I got into my rant about how sick I was of the "same ole Saints."

Then the punch line: "Hap, I been a Saints fan for 30 years, and I'm tired of this losin'."

Hap: That's interesting, because the Saints are only 15 years old.

Me: Yeah, well, sometimes it sure feels like dey been losin for 30 years."

You had to be there. Me and the other kids were rolling on the floor laughing.

Hap, we sure miss you, Man. :D

I remember Hap on television and on his "Hap's Point After" back when I was a kid and teenager. After Buddy D got kicked off TV and was doing the post-game show, he still called it "Hap's Point After" -- now I think Bobby H calls it the "Point After"

i dont remember him, but hear stories from my grandfather. he loved hap!

I remember Hap when he was a reporter for the old States newspaper. He was part of the best news team in the city in the sixties and seventies on channel 4. He and Dave Dixon were instrumental in landing the Saints franchise in 1966. I remember Hap well, I wish he and Buddy were here last year. They deserved to see it.
