I will not even begin to wade back into this old debate. The one thing I will say is this. I want a mix of the Aaron Brooks that played the last 5 or whatever games of 2000 and the Aaron Brooks that played the first 7 games of 2002.
I want Aaron to suceed b/c it helps the Saints. I think we all know how I feel about his chances, but... In any case, Aaron played great ball at the end of 2000 b/c he seemed to just be playing with instinct and having fun. He was great that way. In 2001 he seemed to lose about all of that. He was overcoached or just over thinking things. In early \'02 he was stupid cocky. Being cocky usually hurts a team, but I think it helped us a good deal b/c we were so f*cking cocky we were past the point of normal cocky. We were I\'m gonna slap this big a$$ cocky across your forehead cocky. As a result, no matter what happened, we knew we would win. Period. It didn\'t matter if it was the 49ers, Packers, Bucs, or whoever across from us. We were going to score when we needed to... period. Two things changed that last year. The first Falcons game when it looked like another one of those comebacks and then we got one-upped in the comeback game... AND when Deuce got hurt and we became one dimensional for a few games after the bye week. We never regained our swagger, and that is what ultimately hurt this offense, in my opinion (aside from injuries). I hope the dumbass Brooks takes the field this year. The one who just plays with instinct and is so cocky it\'s offensive (no pun intended). That\'s the best AB I\'ve seen thus far, and that\'s the one I think is most likely to suceed... b/c this thinking pocket passer Brooks is doomed to fail. There are plenty other strong armed QBs out there that are more efficient and smarter than Brooks. So AB, listen up... Go out there and play dumb! It shouldn\'t be too hard. ;) |

wow bucktooth you\'re so witty, this is a Saints forum and we don\'t care about your opinions about the bucs. Too bad you guys dont have any fans who can create a website worthy of blackandgold.net. Maybe after highschool you and your boyfriend can work on one. Actually probably just by yourself because from your star wars comebacks you must be pretty lonely. Keep your chins up all you gay bucktooth fans and by the way I\'ve been around longer than you.
