For those of us who waited through draft and off season trading to see the new improved product, we were sadly disappointed. Sort of like opening your biggest box at Christmas as a kid, and finding out its packed with clothes!

For a top rank O to be held to 6 yds passing (Brees 1/6) isn't stuff to get excited about and the D looks, if anything, worse than last season.

I have faith the coaching staff knows what their doing. No doubt there. I would just like them to throw the hungry dogs waiting for the season to start a bone or two to chew on right now.
I really cant be embarrased over a game that couldnt count for anything. Say the saints went out and blew out the steelers by the score of 32 - 6, the east coast media and most fans of the NFL would say "big deal, it didnt count for a damn thing. its a the 1st of five perseason games which is one more than the other 30 teams in the NFL."

Dont let last night worry you......our guys will get it done!!!!!!!!!!!!

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Buffalo ---- friday night!!!!
I was thinking the same. The Steelers just got a new coach and he has some people that he needs to impress...I wouldn't be suprised if they went undefeated this preseason. However when the real season comes and they start playing teams who are actually trying to win games rather than fix their depth charts, they won't look so hot. Also don't forget that we've been running two-a-days everyday up until Thursday, then had a practice on Friday. One day in between is not enough time to take soreness out of the legs.

Wake Up call

I am happy with the result.

Now they can stop worrying about power rankings, Madden '08, and all of last year's glory. No one is going to hand us wins this year.

We flat-out sucked. Very dissappointing to give up all of those big plays again.

Luckily, the season does not start for 30 days.

Re: Almost embarrasing

Wow! I didn't expect all this worry and concern over the first of five pre-season games. As fans we always want to see the best product on the field and for the Saints to beat every team they play regardless of what's at stake (nothing's at stake in the pre-season as far as wins/losses go).

That said, I hope we crush the Bills this Friday!
