I think Payton is good about having the team learn from a game like that. I'm alright with it.

By the way, the poll questions says "After the Steelers loss Sunday Night..." it's kinda confusing.

I agree with you on that Dan, I think he'll probably cream them tomorrow. Look for the team to be real tired by Friday.

. The only impression I had, is that it was the first preseason game.
They looked just like they looked the first preseason game a year ago.

Re: What message did the Saints Loss Sunday Night send to you?

Once again we lost in the bad weather. We are a dome team still. Thats why we need home field for the playoffs.
Nutralize the saints with the elements. It is that simple. The OL can not handle smash mouth defensive front on grass in the elements. We are a razzel dazzle team still.
They can do it. Look at the 8 minute drive. But that was in the dome. But they can do it. Duce would haved helped alot but I still think we would have lost. That is why we drafted Pittman. Sub for Duce and keep Bush out of a set backfield position.
There is a mind set to winning on a bad field and we do not have it. The team knows it and I am sure Sean is working on it.

Re: What message did the Saints Loss Sunday Night send to you?

There were some high points last night. I only saw the first 3 quarters, but...

- Fife put together a really nice drive. I hope he gets a chance to challenge for the #2 spot.
- Pittman showed a lot of potential. He really hit the holes well and showed an ability to get tough yards.
- Copper definitely made some progress up the deapth chart.
- I thought Lance Moore looked pretty good as well.
- The D-Line is going to have a very good season. Will was causeing problems in the backfield and few times and HT and Clancy were collapsing the pocket, too.

For those of you who could watch the 4th quarter, did Pierre Thomas get any snaps? He was very impressive at Camp Thursday and Friday.

Pierre Thomas impressed me. He certainly has some moves. I hope he sticks, but I don't think he will. Maybe special teams will save him.
