Refs?

Did anyone else get the impression that the refs really didn't call a very tight game on Thursday? I feel like I saw a lot of holding and a variety of this kind of infraction without any flags hitting the turf. Just wonderin'?

Re: Refs?

IMO the refs did an OK job Thursday night, it's the Saints who made bad calls and bad plays.

Re: Refs?

I saw a couple of holds they let go on a couple of occasions but didn't see it a one sided thing.

Re: Refs?

I didn't think it was particularly one sided, I just thought they were letting a lot go... especially for an early game, let alone the season openner. Maybe I was wrong.

Re: Refs?

No there were plenty of calls in which they let slide. At least they were consistent.

Re: Refs?

Agreed that the consistency was good - and that is paramount.

Re: Refs?

There was A LOT of holding that was not called. And even though it wasn't one-sided, they did still call it sometimes and not others. I think they were pretty inconsistent with it.

However in a 41-10 loss, I don't think it would have saved us even if they were consistent.

Re: Refs?

I didn't complain about the refs at all duiring the game. They were fair on both sides. I saw Brown with a couple of holds as well as the Colts LT. What I didn't like was the no call when Freeny got his hand to Brees' Head and slammed down on him, but no harm no foul I guess.
