Sterling Sharp Fixes Saints Offense
 

NFL Network yesterday-- Sharpe picks the Saints over the Titans because he has fixed their offense. His solution--McAlister has to have 16 or more carries in the game, he is averaging 10 so far.

If we get behind, so what, we aren't going to catch up, run Deuce anyway to practice for the next game.

I'm all in favor in running Deuce often but once you get down 14 points he's pretty much done, Bush can still help even though the Saints are down because he can lineup as a WR and he can be used in play action plays and he's still a threat running the ball.
IMO, Brees has to get his offense into gear, he's the only one on offence that can get them to start playing as they did last season.
We all know the defense is horrible right now but if the offense can manage to score at least 21 points per game we have a chance in winning close games.
Something better change soon, like Monday night, we can't afford to drop this game, this is almost a must win and we're only going into week 3.
I have to believe the Saints will win Monday, not only do I want us to win but win big going into the bye, a big win should carry over to the next game.

Yep, If the defense doesn't give up so many of those over 20 yard passing plays, the offense isn't in such a hole, and if the offense scores early and often, the defense is in better shape.

We turn things around Monday night. The Colts defense has turned completely around since the playoffs last year.

I think the problem may be rough, smashmouth defenses.

Sean Payton's Saints have been 'killed' by the following teams: Ravens, Bears, Colts, and Buccanneers.

Now, the Colts may not be a smashmouth defense, but they sure played like it that opening game.

It seems that, if the opposing team's D can keep delivering HARD hits, it messes up any rhythm the Saints may have on offense. Drew Brees is a rhythm QB and, pretty much, so is the rest of the offense. Deuce is the only one who isn't, but (like you guys said) if you fall behind, you can't really run Deuce a whole lot.

In the first two games of this year, it seems like the Saints offense has never really been able to get 'started'. Constantly pressuring them and hitting them hard completely throws them off, not to mention stripping the ball brings a huge momentum swing the other way.

Momentum is key as well. The Saints haven't had a home game since they played the Eagles in last season's playoffs. When something goes wrong and the momentum falls to their opponents, there's really no crowd or anything to lift up their energy again. They have appeared quite flat at the beginning of this year and that's a large reason why.

I think we're going to see a change this Monday. The Saints will play a more inspired game of football infront of their home crowd. They WILL begin to get back on track starting that night, but the question is "Will it be enough to win the game?"

0-3 is staring this team in the face. And, while that's still no reason to fret, exposing your weaknesses to the rest of the league at the very beginning of the season IS.


Anyways, those are my theories. I may just be talkin' jive. I guess time will tell.
