Put Reggie in the Backfield with Karney, teach our O line to block and then run with Reggie right behind Karney all day long. This crap of not having a lead blocker when your o-line cannot run or pass block is blowing my mind. Karney needs to be in the backfield on every play, whether he is lead blocking for a runner, or picking up a blitz I believe he is the only person on the offense that still knows how to block. Karney is a GREAT FB, not good, but GREAT, put him on the damn field and let him block.

Damn Right. Karney is going to be te greatest Fb if Payton puts him in every play. This guy is a beast.

Karney is great, but look at the team. Look at what defenses are doing to us. Deuce is gone, guys, and Karney can't fill his role. I'm telling you, the Saints are about to start passing 40+ times a game. Lots of 5-wide spread sets, lots of underneath routes, screens and flats passes. You're about to see a timing, pass heavy offense. This is what our strength is now.

Karney will still fit into that, but he's not going to be a "playmaker" like some of you seem to want him to be. He's a fullback, he is never going to have a 100 yard game and he's never catching 10 passes.

The good news is our receivers can fit this system. While Devery Henderson is dead to me, Moore has looked good and so has Copper. Johnson and Colston have looked down-right spectacular relative to their teammates. Best of all: This style of play fits Reggie's skill set perfectly (ever heard of Marshall Faulk or Brian Westbrook?).

I love Deuce, but him getting hurt may be the best thing for the Saints. The team has been in an identity crisis for 5 games now. Are they a power running team or are they a spread it out and pass it all over the place team? Well this decides that. Plus, if he retires his salary can go towards siging a defensive player that is worth a crap (i.e. Asante Samuel?).
