I feel the need to spread some sunsine this morning.
 

The season looks ugly so far. 0-3. Deuce is gone. Offense has been ineffectual. Turnovers. Big plays. Injuries.

Ugly.

Let's look at some sunshine:

1) 0-3 is bad. Fortunately 2 of those losses are to AFC teams.

2) The division amazingly enough has not gotten completely away from us. Tampa will lose to Indy this week (I figure that Indy will in fact go 4-0 against the NFC South). We get Carolina at home. A win will give us a division win, keep Carolina down, and pull us to within 2 games of Tampa.

3) The Saints offense can score. We've seen it as recently as last January.

4) Deuce being gone may turn out to be a weird blessing. Maybe it can get Payton to rethink the offensive game plan.

We haven't even rounded the quarter pole for the season. One solid game can turn it around.

Just a bit of sunshine for the forum.

I hate to see Deuce out for the season. But you may be right about him being out that coach Payton may have new plays for the Saints. Everyone knows what the Saints are going to do on each play thats why were losing.

The offensive game plan needs to revolve around getting the O line to block someone. Forget everything else if we cannot block we cannot think about how to use Reggie or throwing the ball etc, etc, etc. IF, and thats a big IF, they can block this team can be fine. The pressure up front will come and if the O line blocks then we can sustain drives, give the D a breather and we play like we did last year.

It all starts with the O line.
