through the air, and turnovers.......
however, the saints showed signs of life last week yet failed to come
away with the win.....
if you believe in stats, these 2 teams are not that much different...

Saints vs. Seahawks

now, to da dog...........................

da dog has hinted this will be a close game.
i could try and choke more out of it, but the dam thing bites......
for this reason, i am changing my prediction.......

no, i still believe the saints pull off the upset through execution,
but the game comes down to a field goal,
and mare redeems, providing he plays........
my final score changes.......
final score............saints 19 seahawks 17

Re: saints vs seahawks....absolute final prediction part 2

I think the Saints D-line contains the banged up Alexander, putting the game in Hasslebeck's hands. Given the Saints poor secondary, that's a scary proposition. Fortunately, Seattle's WR corp (minus the injured Deion Branch) is not exactly Harrison and Wayne. I really like the Saints' chances of holding the Hawks below the magic number 17. So...

It's all up to the offense. If the Line can build off of last weeks improvements, it could go a long way towards rebuilding Brees' confidence - something he's sorely lacked this season. Further to that end, I would like to see Payton calling up a lot of short "outlet" type passes to the TE and backs out of the backfield. Be patient with the deep-ball and don't force it. Try to put yourself in a lot of 3rd and shorts and be prepared to go for it on 4th anywhere between the 40's. It will be difficult to control the clock without a power running game, but with patience and discipline, it can be done.

Saints 24 - Seahawks 17

I do not know the 12th man scares me. They are one of the best in the NFL. Now if they turn on the hawks early I give us a chance. Maybe they will boo by the second quarter

Shut them up and send them home early (work tommorrow, you know). Reggie has a big night and gets on Madden's truck, shutting up cries that he can't be an every down back. Drew throws to the black and gold instead of the green and white. Defense does a good job against the run and Smith/Grant get into the face of Hasselbeck. Saints 24, Hawks 17.

The game unfolded just like I said last week. SOMEHOW the team we had grown to love shows up and plays football, and makes us wonder where they've been for the last five weeks. They played with passion and heart. They actually hit some people and made a few Seahawks feel like they had been in a football game. Football is a man's game and the Black and Gold got their first win. Good Job!
