On changing the helmet, I\'ve been thinking the past couple of years that they should keep the color scheme the same, but take the fleur de leis, tilt it 45 degrees clockwise, and enlarge it to where it practically covers the helmet. May play with it at home using photoshop to give you guys a better visual.

Got one....had it signed by Earl Campbell in San Fran this year at the Tristar show.
I know Campbell didn\'t play in that era but I collect Saints stuff and running back stuff and I wasn\'t about to wait for Jim Taylor to surface at the same time as me.

You collect autographed cards? Cause I sell them. Official signatures only, as in, they come from Topps, Donruss, Upper Deck, or Pacific already autographed. Dealing in street sigs is too dangerous for my blood.

I\'ve got 6 signed Saints helmets and 1 unsigned home made. The 6 signed are:
Black- Earl Campbell
Modern- Aaron Brooks, Deuce McAllister
throwback 80\'s-90\'s- George Rogers, Rickey Jackson, Vaughan Johnson

The home made is my old helmet painted gold with a Saints stripe & emblem kit added to it. I wear it every game day, more so to prevent injuries to myself during the game. Kinda get outta control.

I get them all through signing shows either personally from the playr with authentication, or I buy through places like Steiner or Mounted Memories.

By the way B&B, for cards I collect only running back rookies. My other goal is a highly graded rookie card of every signifigant RB in the history of football. For the modern stuff with 50+ card companies I go for 1 from each set. Whatcha got for rookie RBs?

I\'ll look through what I got. Off the top of my head, I have a 2002 Clinton Portis UD Graded Autographed Rookie and a 2002 SPx Ladell Betts Autographed rookie. I\'ll make another post after I\'ve looked through what I have.
The business has gotten rediculous, as far as the number of sets each company releases in a year. I guess if people are buying...

Redemption cards- the only reason I remembered them is that the redemption cards are sitting right in front of me. Not sure if the Graded will be graded (I HATE that UD picked that as the name of the series cause it makes it confusing) and I won\'t know until after I recieve them in.
Funny thing, I hopped back on here to see if you required them to be graded before purchase. I\'ll look through what I have, but I don\'t have many that are graded already. I can have it done, but it\'ll take time.
What I have in rookie already graded cards are as follows and are all 2002 UD Graded (I just found a guy last week that said he would lump cards I want graded in with his, to save on cost):
#168 Autographed DeShaun Foster 132/550 Mint 9
#118 Travis Stephens 247/700 Mint 10
#129 Adrian Peterson 489/700 Mint 10
#127 Chester Taylor 042/700 Mint 9

No, I don\'t require them to be pre-graded it just helps to ensure condition. Out of that list I\'m interested in the Portis and the Betts. They are both just the exchange cards, not the actual cards? How much you want? Let me know your interests, maybe I got stuff to trade.

My memory seems to recall the Saints wearing Black helmets with white pants and white jerzies on the road during the Bum era. Don\'t have the facts to prove it. Just because the above link site doesn\'t disclose doesn\'t mean it aint so. The truth could probably best be found out by questioning Dan Simmons or Silky Powell, long time Saints trainers and equipment managers. Memory recall says 1984, but I could be getting a bit Saintnile as I also once forgot JoeSam had moved. Help me out Silky!
