How about Simoneau?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; How about Simoneau? 5 Tackles and none from his back. I didn't see him get blown up all day and he was pretty good in coverage. All hail 53!...

Re: How about Simoneau?

mixed reviews
i saw him stop a run play for zero
but then later in the game atlanta threw a screen pass and i thought he was in position to nail the guy as he caught the ball instead he waited and had to chase him down

sure wish i had tivo and sunday ticket
i gotta watch the games in bar with no sound
i'd like another (sober) look at both of those plays

I must have missed Simoneau's one good tackle all year.

I sure wish I knew what you guys see in Simmons. Maybe it's just me but he really doesn't impress me. I'm not against him or anything but maybe I just need to see more of him.

Re: How about Simoneau?

Joe im not sayin' 53 is garbage but Simmons is faster, I would just rather have a fast MLB and I know he cant tackle any worse than 53.

Re: How about Simoneau?

Simoneau is all fluff. Simmons is just more physically gifted and very experienced. We're talking about a good linebacker that came from a team that plays in the same division with teams you may have heard of, Bengals, Steelers, Ravens?

Look up the difference between Simmons and Simoneau's stats over the years. It's frustrating to see Simoneau's NAKED turnover sheet when compared with Simmons' plethora of turnovers and passes defensed.

Re: How about Simoneau?

I won't even go as far as to say that Simmons is better than Simoneau. All I know is that I don't think Simoneau is getting it done and that means trying somebody else who was a starter until he came here. I'd just like to see what Simmons can do in a real game. Maybe he's a gamer.
