I also wonder why they don't use Reggie's 4.3 speed on anything but underneath and swing routes. Hell, come out in an I with PT and Karney in the backfield and Colston and Reggie as the WRs. There's a reason teams have run the power running game with PA passes for the better part of a G-D CENTURY!!!
Payton has no inclination to chage it up and give teams a different look. Not only that, but to keep others involved so that Reggie doesn't get worn down to a knub. The power-I would make team have to fill the box. Pass blocking would be easy after pushing a team back on its heels running the ball. Those guys are too good to be riding pine as much as they do (Karney, Thomas, Stecker).

Re: Running game

I think we all agree...

I guess my question was not about number of running plays called or personnel...
But more, "Are we running the right way?"
