HOT CORNER: Restricted free-agent acquisition Jason David is the team's starting right corner, but is he the right corner for the stretch run? Jason Craft appeared to play well in David's absence when he missed three games with a broken forearm. That question was asked of Payton. "(Craft) is someone we consider playing over there, but right now our starting right corner is Jason David," Payton said. David has been burned a handful of times for touchdowns this season, including a 73-yard catch-and-run by Houston wide receiver Andre Johnson. McKenzie came to David's defense. "It was our defense that got beat," McKenzie said. "We don't want to single out him. People don't know what's going on in the secondary. The truth of the matter is it was a breakdown in the secondary. The safety didn't get a good read, and it opened up the whole defense."

Did he really play well in David's absence? I'm sure this is fabricated and they didn't really watch the game.
