For the first time since joining the Saints' organization 16 months ago, four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Dale Carter seems comfortable inside his skin.

A whistle-while-he-works approach to training camp suggests Carter is at peace with himself, his teammates, his coaches and his uncertain lot in life.
