“From an injury standpoint practice wise, Pierre Thomas is the only one that is on the report, he did not practice with his contusion still on the kidney and it is getting better. We are just having some further tests done and we will see if he can go tomorrow and that is the only player on the list to report. Is Mike McKenzie fine?

“Yeah, he is doing well. He was a full go in practice today. Some of these guys are sore but with the additional day of rest, I think that helped them out a little.”

How do you plan to use Roman Harper?

“Roman (Harper) will start. Kevin (Kaesviharn) will get some reps. We will see by the weeks end with how they practice and where they are at.

In closing:

When you think about calling the play that resulted in the fumble last week do you kind of shy away from it?

“I think that would be a big mistake. You learn from experience, and certainly I have learned as a second year coach from experiences and will continue to learn. We will continue to be aggressive offensively but not at the expense of being smart. We are not going to take a back off approach as far as how we play offensively.”

Are you going to rip it out of the playbook?

“No it’s not out of the playbook.”

That's what you ask of a coach is to realize his mistakes. He realizes that at THAT time it was a bad play to call. By saying that he hasn't removed the play just looking for a better time to utilize it, he's shown that he's learned from this and probably won't be calling any risky plays in those situations for a while now.
