Dunn should be a model for Bush

ESPN - FB Outsiders: Show Bush how it's Dunn - NFL

Despite his "water bug" stature, Dunn has been amazingly durable. He has missed only 10 games in his 11 NFL seasons. He's been part of many productive backfields, especially the 2004-06 Falcons, who led the NFL in rushing yards all three seasons. Dunn's career is winding down at age 32, but it has been an amazing one.

Yep he is a good example but once again you have to remember most of Dunns years were spent running behind a line built for running. That why they lead the nfl in rushing the last few years. But their pass protection left a lot to be desired. Just ask MV. MV alone made running easier for Dunn. Defense had to shadow him all the time.

Dunn is a good example and Barry Sanders. Lets get both of them to be our Rb coach. That was probably some wishful thinking but it would be awesome. Dont also forget Dunn when he was in Tampa had Alstott a physical FB that ran through people like a train. I wish Coach Payton would use Karney much more.

Alstott was a favorite of mine for a while. I still like that guy. And regarding Dunn, he's done an amazing amount of charity work off the field. And I didn't know this - my wife had to fill me in about it. But from what I heard tonight, which I didn't know - he's one very classy guy. And being from Baton Rouge doesn't hurt.

Yep Dunn has always been the quite model of the perfect professional player. Despite always playing against us his entire career I have never been able to bash him. Even with Tampa.

Re: Dunn should be a model for Bush

I agree that Alstott was not a great blocker. Anyway, Dunn is a terrific role model both on and off the field. He has always been a favorite of mine. Dunn kind of got a bad deal while in Tampa by having to split his carries with Alstott. Anytime during his prime when Dunn was used as the primary weapon, he was one of the best in the NFL. There is no doubt that his later years with Atlanta have been very easy with Vick pulling defenders focus away from the RB's.
