This won't be the same here without him, May you find peace in God's loving arms and I will keep ythe Irvine family in my prayers. He was truly one of a kind and even though I never met him in person he will be missed.

This is a guy who derserves a memorial somewhere in the Superdome and a memorial on this site too since he was so much a part of it.

Damn- I don't swing by often anymore but to drop in and see this was shocking. I never knew him personally but he's one of the main reasons I was here to begin with and why I'd always say hello every now and then. He was class pure and simple and had a great heart.

You'll be missed Joe. Prayers to your family and friends and keep cheering the Saints from up there!!! Godspeed.

This is very sad news. I haven't been to this site in a while, but JoeSam was one of the more respected B&Gers when I visited this site regularly. My condolences to his family. I'll miss his spring training coverage.

Man, I'm telling you guys, it's times like this (Free-Agency starting) that make me miss him more than ever. Joe would always hunt down the scoop. For some reason I feel like he's with us reading somewhere...
